Games for Dogs:

For a fun game, try hiding veterinarian-approved dog treats around the house and see if your dog can find them. Only hide one or two at a time so that you do not forget where you put them. You might want to limit the area to one room so that your dog does not get frustrated. Be sure to clean up any that your small dog does not find.

Another great game is hide-and-seek. Hide behind a door or other object (always hide in safe places) and call your dogs name. When they find you, praise them excitedly. Many small dogs love being able to play this game.

Treat-rewarded training is almost always a fun "game" to any dog. Just be sure to balance the treats with pure praise so your small dog will obey when you don't have a treat.

Of course, fetch is a time tested classic. The earlier you start playing fetch with your small dog, the sooner they will learn the rules (this is a great time to teach them to "drop" a toy so you can pick it up).
