Hypoglycemia:

Hypoglycemia (also called sugar drop) is low blood sugar in dogs. This is incredibly common in small dogs (especially puppies) because they cannot store as much food in their stomach. Too many puppy's deaths have been caused because owners ignore the signs or do not know preventative measures. To prevent sugar drop be sure to feed your dog regularly, and at the correct time and amount for its size and age.

Your dog probably has hypoglycemia if he or she is staggering around when trying to walk. Trust me, there is a definite difference between the way a normal dog walks and the way one with sugar drop walks. If your dog is showing the symptoms call your vet immediately.
