Lepto Vaccines:A vaccine for Canine Leptospirosis, commonly called Lepto, is usually included in the preliminary vaccinations your puppy will receive soon after you bring it home.However, many small dogs have severe reactions such as extreme swelling and tenderness at the shot area which could last for days. If your dog exhibits these conditions, be sure to make him extra comfortable. Then immediately call your vet. Also, unless your dog will be in the woods there is little need for this vaccination. Consult your vet to decide whether or not your dog should have Lepto in his or her shots. |
