Yorkshire Terriers (Yorkies):The Yorkshire Terrier, also called the Yorkie, is a toy dog, but be warned no one has ever told them that. They are extremely stubborn and have incredibly sharp teeth (which they will use frequently). Once they have their mind set on doing something, good luck changing it. A Yorkie will not hesitate to dominate a larger dog.All this said, however, they are very loving and if you need a small dog who gets along well with anyone the Yorkie is the dog for you. Additionally, they do not have delicate dispositions like some other toy breeds. You still have to be very careful and gentle with them, but they will not come running to you everytime something happens they dog not understand. This is great for someone who does not want to spend all their time fussing over their small dog. |
